Lasting Power of Attorney
A Lasting Power of Attorney allows you to choose who will be able to make decisions for you, in the event that you become unable to make those decisions for yourself.
There are two types of Lasting Power of Attorney, they are as follows:-
- Property & Financial Affairs
This allows the person or people you select as your Attorneys to look after your finances. This can include paying your bills, managing your investments, selling your home and collecting your benefits.
- Health & Welfare
This allows the person or people you select as your Attorneys to make decisions about your daily routine, medical care (including life-sustaining treatment) and moving you into a care home.
This is the administration of a deceased's estate, which includes the transferring or encashing of assets, paying any outstanding liabilities, drafting estate accounts and paying the balance to the beneficiaries (if there was a Will) or their of kin if they died Intestate (without a Will).
